988,742. Converting. VILLAMOSIPARI KUTATO INTEZET. Nov. 12, 1962 [Dec. 13, 1961], No. 42709/62. Heading H2F. [Also in Division H3] A cascade voltage multiplying circuit which utilizes hot cathode valves comprises an input transformer whose secondary winding has three parts 12, 13, 14, the outer parts 13 and 14 supplying, through capacitors 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 heater transformers 28, 29, 32, 33 whose secondary windings supply heater current to valves 24, 25, 26, 27. The pairs of capacitors 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 are effectively in parallel with respect to the output direct voltage and constitute the capacitors of the cascade network. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown), the heater transformer 36 for the first valve 24 is replaced by a further tapped portion on the transformer secondary winding. High frequency current supply for the transformer may be derived from a transistor oscillator (Fig. 4, not shown, see Division H3).
