Be it known that I, GEORGE R. FORD, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Matches, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming -part thereof.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of a match, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a section on line 2 2 of Fig. l.

As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists in the parallelogram shape of the body of the match, having a rectangular depression in one face thereof, a spherical end being also shown.

A is the body of the match, which at one' end is formed spherical, as at B. The body A is in the shape of a parallelogram, and in one face of the parallelogram is an oblong depression O, the side and end walls of which are at right angles to the adjacent face of the body and to the base of the depression.

Having thus described 4my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design for a match as herein shown and described.
