MARY J. DAY, OF NEIVBURG, NE W YORK,
DESIGN FOR A PRESSlNG-BOARD.
. SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,694, dated April 28, 1891.
Application filed March 20, 1891. Serial No. 385,320. Term of patent '7 years.
To aZZ whom itmcty concern:
Be it known that I, MARY J. DAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newburg, in the county of Orange and State of New York, have invented a certain new and useful improvement in a Design for Pressing-Boards; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it =appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to a design for pressing-boards, and will be fully understood from the following description, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, in which the figure represents my new design of board in a perspective View.
The leading feature of my design consists in an approximately wedge-shaped top surface resting upon a bracket of a much narrower contour, with its ends of a curvilinear form, and the bracket in turn resting or bearin g upon a base mainly of a rectangular form in outline with rounded corners.
A is the top, which ismainly of an approximately wedge shape, the wedge beginning at one end and extending about one-half of the top, while the remaining half is represented as of an elongated rectangular form with rounded corners.
Bis the base, which is of elongated rectangular form in outline, with rounded corners and of less length, but similar width to the top. C indicates the bracket between the top and base. This bracket has flat vertical sides, and its opposite ends are curved in a curvilinear inanner, as shown at a. The bracket is represented as of much less width than the top or base, and is arranged about midway the length of both and in the longitudinal centers thereof.
What I claim is- The design for a pressing-board herein shown and described, the same consisting of a top of approximately wedge shape in outline, the rectangular shaped base having rounded corners and of less length than the top, and the bracket interposed between the base and the top and in the longitudinal center of both and having its opposite ends terminating in the curvilinear portions a, as set forth.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
MARY J. DAY.
