MM M
WWI 6% UNITED STATES PATENT ()FFICE.
ALONZO LOBDELL, OF RACINE, WVISCONSIN.
DESIGN FOR A HARNESS-LOOP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,098, dated January 31, 1899-.
Application filed January 6, 1899. Serial No. 701,407. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ALONZO LOBDELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Racine, in the county of Racine and State of WVisconsin, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Harness-Loop; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear,
.nd exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a vertical longitudinal sectional view, Fig. 2 an end elevation, and Fig. 3 a plan view, of a harnessloop embodying my new design.
My design relates to the new and original shape or configuration of the article.
The leading or essential feature consists in the unitary design for a harness-loop (made the subject of illustration) comprising the peculiar and novel shape of the two parallel side bars A A, which extend in nearly straight lines at one end from about their centers, their other ends curving downward, as shown at B, with continuous upward branches 0 rising from about the centers of said side bars, the por tions 13 C of each side bar following the general line of an ogee and the upper ends of the portions 0 0 being united by an arch-shaped transverse piece D. The lower ends of the described portions B B are incurved and united by a transverse bar E, While the outer ends of the portions A A are united by another transverse bar F.
Minor features of this design comprise forming the upper surface of the bar E substantially fiat, as shown at e, with the other surfaces of said bar rounded, as best indicated in the sectional view Fig. 1; also, making the under surface of the arch-shaped piece D straight from one edge to the other, as shown at d in the same figure, with the other surfaces semioval in cross-section, and in forming the bar F substantially fiat and of practically double the width of the bar E, all as best shown in said sectional View Fig. 1.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a harness-loop, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
ALONZO LOBDELL.
