We hear about vibrant neighbourhoods in the south, the positive effects of an ambitious climate change policy in the east, and the tranquil beauty of life in Finnish Lapland.

Aarne Granlund, a resident of North Karelia in the east of the country, told APN that the criteria for finding a good place to live in Finland is almost universal.
"If everything is working correctly and we get to go out to nature and have our sauna, we don't want anything much more than that. So if the basics are correct, then we are happy, but we do a lot of work to get the basics right in Finland," Granlund said.
