1443930 Pneumatic conveyers SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 3 Sept 1973 [1 Aug 1972] 35869/72 Heading B8A [Also in Division F1] Fines having dimensions below 500 Ám are separated from perticulate material to be transported by a liquid or gas and formed into pellets whose sizes are in the range 2-100 m.m. (preferably À5-25 m.m.). The pellets are then mixed with the material having dimensions above 500Ám and pumped in the carrier fluid. The ratio of pellets to particles above 500 Ám may be selected to give closest packing and and highest bulk density.
