Abstract

443,311. Display boxes. ROBINSON, E., and BRITANNIA FOLDING BOX CO., Ltd., Dace Road, Old Ford, Bow, London. Jan. 8, 1935, No. 679. [Class 18] A folding or other box is provided with a display lid consisting of two sections 12, 15, which may be separate or integral with each other, hinged together at the line A-A, the sections having extensions 13, 16, which are secured together so that both sides of the display flap thus produced may be printed on without printing on both sides of the cardboard sheet. The panels 12, 15 together 'cover the top of the box, the lid thus formed being held by a flap 18 which is tucked between the front 19 and an inner flap 20, and a similar flap on panel 12 which engages between the rear wall and the contents. The lid may also be integral with the back of the box. The end of the extension may be cut to ornamental shape. An alternative form is shown in Fig. 3.
