Abstract

848,248. Inflatable containers. OSEMAN, L., and WHITFIELD, F. E. Feb. 26, 1959 [Nov. 26,1957; March 31, 1958], Nos. 36766/57. and 10280/58. Class 18. A fragile article is packed in an inflatable container 1, Fig. 1, comprising two sheets of air-impermeable material, which may be rubber, joined at their edges and at 6-9 and folded round the article. A valve 10 for inflation is provided. The container 1 can be secured round the article to be packed by string or may be inserted in a carton 14, Fig. 3. In another embodiment, Fig. 7, the container comprises a carton 14a with an inflatable lining secured thereto. If the lid is separate, an additional valve is fitted to the lid.
