Abstract

692,667. Thermionic distributers. SCHUHFRIED, F. May 4, 1951 [May 11, 1950], No. 10478/51. Class 40 (iii). [Also in Groups VI and XL (c)] The Figure shows a pulse generator in which valves B<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>2</SP> are rendered alternately conductive or non-conductive, by a controlling multivibrator comprising valves B<SP>3</SP>, B<SP>4</SP> so that pulses from the low-frequency generator G appear alternately at the outputs P<SP>1</SP> and P<SP>2</SP>. The switching voltage from the multivibrator is applied to the grid circuits of valves B<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>2</SP> via shaping networks R<SP>5</SP>, C<SP>3</SP> and R', C<SP>4</SP> and the amplitudes of the output pulses may be adjusted by potentiometers R<SP>11</SP> and R<SP>12</SP> and the relative pulse durations and repetition frequency may be adjusted by variation of the circuit constants. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the switching operation is performed by two interconnected switches which alternately apply a negative bias to render the output valves alternately conductive and non-conductive.
